They say there is no better way to learn than by experiencing it firsthand. At Pàlcam, this philosophy comes to life through Erasmus+, a program that allows our students to discover new cultures, improve their language skills, and develop an open and global mindset.
A journey that began over 10 years ago
Our commitment to internationalization started in 2012 when we launched our first collaborations with schools in Denmark and Poland. These experiences were so enriching that we decided to expand the project and become part of the Erasmus+ program, supported by the European Union. This has enabled us to establish connections with schools in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, and France, among others, and to work together on cross-disciplinary educational projects.
More than an exchange, a lifelong learning experience
Taking part in Erasmus+ is not just about traveling. It’s about learning to communicate in different languages, understanding diverse realities, and developing key skills for the future. Our students work on projects focused on crucial topics such as sustainability, gender equality, and today’s scientific challenges, always aligned with the EU’s educational priorities.
Moreover, with the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 accreditation, we now have more flexibility to design projects tailored to our needs, establishing more adaptable collaborations with European schools and offering students an even more personalized experience.
Our goals: global education and personal development
The main goal of the program is to equip students with the tools they need to face a constantly changing, globalized world. To achieve this, we focus on:
- Improving proficiency in English and French
- Encouraging teamwork and negotiation in international environments
- Promoting values such as sustainability and social inclusion
- Participating in European-level scientific projects
- Establishing a network of contacts with other schools to enrich our educational project
A transformative experience for more than 400 students
Since its inception, more than 400 students have participated in Erasmus+, returning with new friendships, a broader perspective, and increased self-confidence. This year, we continue with exchanges in Hamburg, Steenwijk, Chinon, Ajaccio, and Venice, working on projects related to sustainability, urban planning, and environmental protection. Additionally, teachers from our school have also started international mobility programs for training, bringing new methodologies into our classrooms.
At Pàlcam, we believe that education is about preparing for the future, and Erasmus+ offers a unique opportunity to experience learning beyond borders. We will continue expanding horizons so that every student has the chance to grow, explore, and discover all that the world has to offer.
