Concerted Baccalaureate: a stage of growth and preparation for the future
At Pàlcam, the baccalaureate is conceived as a two-year period (ages 16-18) in which students prepare for higher education, whether in vocational training programs or university studies. During this stage, students not only acquire academic knowledge but also develop the skills needed to face future challenges and define their personal and professional paths.
A baccalaureate with options and academic quality
We offer two modalities of concerted baccalaureate, with a wide range of elective subjects and pathways that provide complete preparation for university entrance exams (PAU):
Science and tecnhology
For students who wish to pursue scientific or technical careers.
Humanities and Social sciences
Ideal for those interested in exploring fields such as social sciences, humanities, or communication.
Excellence in results and guidance
Our students achieve excellent results in the PAU, with a high percentage gaining access to their first-choice university. Additionally, we have a continuous guidance and support program that includes:
Psychopedagogical support service
Personalized support to ensure well-being and academic success.
Guidance conferences and workshops
Designed to help students define their academic and professional future.
Personalized tutorial support
Individualized follow-up with regular tutoring sessions.
Strengthening languages and scientific education
At Pàlcam, the baccalaureate includes an expanded curriculum to ensure a high level in languages and sciences:
Languages: Catalan, English (with a focus on listening comprehension in the second year), and French as a second foreign language, with preparation for official exams.
Sciences: Laboratory practice outside regular school hours in physics, chemistry, and biology to consolidate scientific knowledge and stimulate curiosity.
Scholarships and recognition for excellence
We offer Antoni Francesc Cagigós Scholarships to recognize students’ academic and linguistic excellence, motivating them to achieve their full potential.
Beyond the classroom
At Pàlcam, we believe in a comprehensive education that goes beyond academic content:
Remedial support for continuous improvement: We offer extra exam sessions at the end of each term to help students overcome difficulties.
Dual diploma: An opportunity to obtain the American high school diploma simultaneously, expanding students’ academic possibilities.
Extracurricular activities and cultural trips: To encourage active learning and group cohesion.
Personalized tutoring: Individualized support to ensure students’ academic and personal progress.
